CHRONIC DISEASE MONITORING: patients living with a long term condition such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, heart disease etc are invited for an annual check with a member of our nursing team. Your invite will ask you to make an appointment for Clinic A, B or C. Please inform the Receptionist, since this determines the appointment length and who you will see.
CERVICAL SMEARS: in general, women aged between 25 and 65 years are strongly advised to have a smear test once every three years. This can be done by making a “smear appointment” with the Treatment Room Nurse or Practice Nurse. You may receive a reminder letter if your smear is due.
FAMILY PLANNING: can be discussed with the Practice Nurse or at routine GP appointments. Dr McLaughlin and Dr Currans both provide a coil fitting service, if you wish to discuss this further make a routine appointment with either of them.
MINOR SURGERY: certain GPs carry out procedures such as joint injections, removal of cysts, moles and wart treatments at the Surgery in Station Road by arrangement.
INR CLINICS: we currently run two INR clinics per week. Please note, there is a waiting list for this service.
