Home Visits

Please make every effort to come to the Surgery as this gives the Doctor more time and better facilities to deal with your problem.   If you are too ill to attend the Surgery it is helpful if you can telephone your request for a home visit as early as possible in the morning, ideally before 9.30am.

Cancelling Your Appointment

Unfortunately, we continue to have a number of patients failing to attend appointments, which has an adverse affect on appointments available for other patients. If you are unable to attend an appointment, it is important to let reception know.  We thank you for your co-operation in this respect.

SPIRE (Scottish Primary Care Information Resource)

NHS Scotland is improving the way it uses information from GP patient records.  SPIRE is a service that will allow small amounts of non patient identifiable information from GP records to be used to help NHS Scotland and Scottish Government improve care and plan services.  A new campaign is underway to inform patients across Scotland of the benefits of the service and the confidential and secure way in which patient records will be used to help plan and improve health care services.  To find out more visit

Clinical Research Studies

The Practice works with Panthera Clinical Research Team in Glasgow who seek participants for clinical trials.  Clinical trials are crucial to protect future generations as well as helping current patients with their conditions.  You may receive an invitation from the Practice to take part in a trial if you are eligible.  No patient information is shared directly with Panthera.  The invitation is generated within the Practice and any patient wishing to participate can contact Panthera directly by following the instructions on the invitation letter.  If you do not wish to receive any invitations, please let us know and we can exclude you from this.  For more information on Panthera Clinical Research please click Panthera
